Elizabeth Del Rosario Abreu, age 63 has passed away January 11, 2021. She was the beloved and adored Mother of Cynthia, Jesse, Astrid and Jean Carlos and the Grandmother of Valentina, Violet and Kiara. Born in Dominican Republic she was the first of nine children to be born from Luis and Lourdes Casado. Besides her children and grandchildren, she is survived by 8 siblings: Clarisa, Margarita, Maria, Yomary, Carmen, Rafael, Jose Luis, and Otoneil.
She left Dominican Republic for the United States and resided in New York City. She later moved to Rhode Island.
Elizabeth was one of the strongest people to ever walk this earth. She suffered a stroke in her early 40s and was paralyzed on her entire right side. She spent months in the hospital learning to walk and to gain use of her left hand. But that did not stop her from doing what she loved most! Raising her 4 children and living a beautiful life. Elizabeth loved being with her family, her truest joy was seeing and spending time with her lovely grandchildren. She was the kindest, sweetest, and most lovable person we all truly knew and although no one wanted your passing to come, we understand that the last few years were difficult due to illness. We find comfort in knowing that she is now truly at peace and shall rest with her beloved mother and father in heaven. Her memory will always remain, she will always be honored, missed and most importantly loved! A private service will be held for Elizabeth Tuesday January 19th and she will be laid to rest at St. Ann Cemetery.
